Hart-Parr

In 1896 Charles Walter Hart and Charles H. Parrnames founded the Hart-Parr company in Wisconsin. Hart-Parr engines were widely used in Wisconsin to power windmill-driven pumps to help cool milk on the numerous dairy farms. Word of their engines traveled fast and soon their little shop had more orders than it could handle. They were the first people to successfully build the first gasoline-powered tractor around 1901. This was huge for agriculture as it placed undreamed of power in the hands of the farmers.
