Tractor Info

1927-1930

The Hart-Parr 28-50 was the largest tractor in the series and had two forward speeds plus one reverse speed available. Two 12-24 engines with a 5 3/4 inch bore and 6 1/2 inch stroke, placed side by side comprised the engine. Rated horsepower was delivered at 850 RPM. Hart-Parr was great on angle iron traction lugs, but finally adopted two-bolt spade lugs on the 12-24, 18-36, and 28-50 models. Several other lug styles were available, and extension rims could be furnished at extra cost. The engineer’s cab was optionally available. The weight of the 28-50 was 8,600 pounds, with a list price of $2,085. When the Oliver Farm Equipment Company was formed in 1929, the two-cylinder Hart-Parr tractors gave way to a new line of four and six-cylinder models.
