Model Information
1921-1925
Bates’s only entry into conventional wheel tractors was the Model H, built from 1921 to 1924. Weighing only 3,600 pounds, it had a 15-25 horsepower rating, displaying an excellent ratio of weight to horsepower. It used the same engine as the concurrent Model F. Although the Model H was a promising machine, Bates pulled it off the market. Possibly the competition was easier to handle in the crawler tractor market.
