Tractor Info

1919-1921

Bates listed this “All-Steel” 15-25 model in 1919. The cross-chain steering had been replaced by auto-steer, and the front end was spring-mounted for greater comfort and ease of handling. The engine was built by Bates and was a four-cylinder affair with a 4 5/8-inch bore and 5 1/2-inch stroke. The resemblance of this tractor to the Waite tractor built in Chicago seems to indicate some connection between the two firms.
