Tractor Info

1912

The Steel Hoof tractor was also introduced in 1912 by Lambert. Its unique drive wheels were designed to contact the ground much like a horse’s hoof. As the wheel turned, the pads retracted, thus providing a self-cleaning wheel. The full hood and fenders coupled with an automotive-style control panel gave a modern look to a 1912 machine. In 1916, Lambert was reorganized as Buckeye Manufacturing Company.
