Model Information
1958-1963
The Oliver 770 Orchard tractor was equipped with special fenders and other accessories for this specialized work. The 770 Orchard was built over the 770 standard-tread models, but the additional sheet metal work and accessories raised the price considerably. With Oliver’s new Power Booster transmission the 770 Orchard with gasoline power sold for $4,200, and the diesel-powered version raised this price by another $700.early version of the 770 Orchard tractor is obvious by the grille design, as well as the Oliver decal (within an ellipse) on the side of the fuel tank. A unique feature was the specially formed exhaust pipe. It emerges from the side of the hood and is bent downward, enters the fore part of the fender, and finally emerges at the rear of the tractor. With the introduction of the 770 tractors, Oliver again changed the paint color slightly, this time adopting meadow green and clover white as the official color combination.
