Tractor Info

1957

This experimental model was developed to determine the feasibility of the design, and in fact, decals on the side of the tractor read, “Ahead of Tomorrow”. In the 1950s and early 1960s the question remained as to what type of engine would be used in the future. The possibilities which Oliver explored included this high-compression design. Since raising the compression ration also increased the power level, the problem was finding a fuel which would not pre-isnite. Thus, the Ehtyl Corporation assisted in formulating a fuel situable for this design.
