Tractor Info

1954 - 1958

The wide-ranging Oliver tractor options included a special high-clearance design, as shown here. This was an extra-cost option over the $3,250 for a Super 77 with dual front wheels. Using a six-cylinder engine with a 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch bore and stroke, the Super 77 was rated at 1,600 rpm. The compression ratio was 7.0 to 1, and displacement was 216 ci. When equipped with a diesel engine the Oliver Super 77 was listed at $3,967. Power steering added about $200 to the list price, but this option soon became standard equipment on virtually all farm tractors, since it greatly relieved the tedium of a day in the field.
