In 1954 Oliver introduced its first utility tractor, the Super 55. The agricutural version featured an adjustable front axle. It had a width range of 48 to 76 inches. Super 55 tractors were built in gasoline and diesel models. New features included a hydraulic system integrated with the transmission. A three-point hitch was optionally avaiable The six-speed transmission had a range up to 14.25 mph. Engine speed was rated at 2,000 rpm.
