An Oliver Super 55 gasoline (HC) tractor was tested at Nebraska in September 1954. This test, No. 524, shows a maximum of 30.75 drawbar and 35.88 belt horsepower. The four-cylinder engine, rated at 2,000 rpm, used a 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch bore and stroke and had a displacement of 144 cubic inches. The rated speed of 2,000 rpm was primarily for belt work. For drawbar work the recommended engine speed was 1,750 rpm. Ordinary equipment included 11-28 rear tires.
