With 33 1/2 drawbar horsepower, the Farmall 404 tractor featured eight forward speeds, live hydraulics, and a 3-point draft control hitch. Available with a choice of gasoline or propane engine styles, the 404 could be pur­chased as the Farmall row-crop model shown here, or as an International Utility style. Power steering was op­tionally available. Production of the F-400 and 1-400 models began in 1961, with the Farmall style closing out in 1967, followed by the I-400 in 1968.
