The 1850 was a row crop tractor with three engine options. The Waukesha-Oliver 5.1L six-cylinder gasoline, a Perkins 5.8L six-cylinder diesel, or a Waukesha-Oliver 5.1L six cylinder LP gas engine. All were 4×2 2WD or 4×4 MFWD 4WD with power steering, differential disc brakes, six-speed unsynchronized transmission, twelve-speed partial power shift transmission, or eighteen-speed power shift transmission, and an open operator station. An Oliver Continental cab was optional with available air conditioning. This model was the same as the Oliver 1850.
