This tractor offered about a 15% horse power increase form the Allis Chalmers 180 allowing one to cover more ground per day. Frame size was very similar between the 180 and 185 but the 185 tractors came as Diesel only. This tractor was equipped with a hydraulic power director clutch which allowed for easy starting of heavy loads and allowed for on the go shifting between high and low.
