Tractor Info

1969 - 1975

The Oliver 1655 gasoline model was priced at about $10,000 with a full equipment package. Adding the LP-gas conversion raised the cost by $425. Regardless of engine choice, the 1655 was also built in Wheatland and Ricefield versions. Options included the Hydra-Lectric hydraulic system, Depth-Stop hydraulics; the latter could be supplied with external valves or internal valves, as desired. Although the dual-front axle was still available, the adjustable front axle as shown here seems to have been far more popular. The 1655 Oliver tractor was also sold as the Minneapolis G-750 during 1971. During 1969 and 1970 the “55” Series tractors were also available in a “Heritage” version. There were no changes, except that the tractor was finished in red, white, and blue.
