Model Information
1962 - 1964
In June 1963 Oliver sent one each of their 1600 gasoline and diesel tractors to Nebraska for testing. The results appear in Test No. 840 for the diesel and 841 for the gasoline model. Production of the 1600 began in 1962 and continued into 1964. Initially, the 1600 gasoline model used a six-cylinder engine with a 31/2 x 4-inch bore and stroke, but the second series raised the bore to 3 5/8 inches. The diesel engine used a 3 3/4 x 4-inch bore and stroke throughout its production rim. The first series was built into 1963
