Model Information
1919-1920
Comet took a shot at the tractor business between 1919 and 1920. The tractor was a built-up outfit with an Erd four-cylinder engine, Foote Bros, two-speed selective transmission, Dixie magneto, and other O.E.M. parts. Many small manufacturers tried this route, and it was advantageous in many ways. Consumers benefited from the extensive research of firms specializing in the design of a specific product. Foote Bros. Company was a transmission specialist and built an excellent product. The Comet was rated at 15 drawbar and 30 brake horsepower. Weight was 4,500 pounds.
