Tractor Info

1954 - 1958

The Super 77 appeared in 1954 and was continued until 1958. This model could be purchased with the adjustable width front axle or the usual tricycle front. Many other options were available, including the single-front axle. As with other Oliver models, front mounting pads were provided for mounted implements, and the Super 77 boasted of Oliver’s exclusive Hydra-Lectric hydraulic system, a live PTO shaft, and independent disc brakes. Oliver Super 77 tractors were built in a standard tread with a fixed-width front axle during the same 1954-58 time frame as the Super 77 row-crop models. In Nebraska Test No. 542 the Super 77 delivered 40.16 belt horsepower using gasoline fuel. The comparable diesel model performed within fractions of its spark-fired counterpart. Oliver Super-Series tractors were also available with an LP-gas conversion at an extra cost of $258.
