Tractor Info

1957-1965

Oliver OC-4 crawlers made their debut in 1956. This photograph was taken in August of that year; it shows the early OC-4 with a radiator grille and hood styling similar to that used on the Oliver farm tractors of the period. The engine was a three-cylinder style from Hercules; its 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch bore and stroke gave a displacement of 130 cubic inches. Rated speed was 1,700 rpm. Weighing 5,255 pounds, the OC-4 delivered nearly 18 drawbar horsepower in Nebraska Test No. 656. This test was run in June 1958, shortly after the OC-4 had been unveiled.
