Tractor Info

1921

A small outfit designed for the truck farmer was offered about 1920 by United Tractors Company. Rated variously as a 7-12 or an 8-16, it used a Light four-cylinder, 3 1/4 x 4 1/2-inch motor. The “ Cultitractor” weighed 2,000 pounds and had a 1920 list price of $785. The “Mohawk” 8-16 tractor succeeded the “Cultitractor” in 1921. Designed particularly to the needs of the small farmer, this 2,150-pound tractor could pull one plow and had a maximum drawbar pull of 1,000 pounds. Like the Cultitractor, it used a Light four-cylinder engine. Usual engine accessories were a Simms magneto and a Kingston carburetor.
