Model Information
1936-1942
The Modern Farmer “ L” was built from 1937 until production was suspended during World War II. Electric starting and lighting were optional features. Three speeds were available up to 414 MPH. Power came from a Waukesha VIK 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch four-cylinder motor. Regular accessories included a Zenith carburetor, Bosch magneto, and Twin Disc clutch. The “L” was not tested at Nebraska, however, the ratings should be similar to the “ LC” model, tested under No. 291.
