The model R proved to be the tractor that set the Waterloo Traction Engine Company as a tractor manufacturer. Total sales approached almost 10,000 units. There were thirteen variations of the model R (Models RA through RM) Powered by three different horizontal kerosene water cooled engines.


Tractor Info

The Model RA through RD engines were 330 Cubic Inch with a 5.50X7.00 bore and stroke, 3.91:1 compression ratio, running at 700 RPM. Models RE through RK had an increased bore and stroke of 6.00X7.00 giving it 396 Cubic Inches. It was during this production of tractors that a removable head was introduced. Model RM tractors had an even larger bore engine, now boasting a 6.50" bore and 7" stroke (465 Cubic Inch) that would be carried into the next model Waterloo Boy and early Model D production. Approximate weight 6200 LBS. Dimensions: 143" L, 72" W, 63" Tall. Single speed forward and reverse transmission.
