Tractor Info

1918-1922

Allis-Chalmers announced the new 15-30 tractor in December, 1918. Its sleek lines bore a resemblance to auto and truck designs, and in fact, this was a major goal of A-C engineers. However, by February, 1919, the company had given it a new 18-30 rating to better correspond with its delivered output. Although the general consensus exists that the 15-30 and 18-30 tractors were identical, save for the new model designation, a comparison shows this notion to be in error. One notable difference is the sheet metal radiator of this model, compared to the cast iron style of the 18-30. Also evident is an entirely different front wheel design.
