Model Information
1915
California was famous for its orchards, and power farming equipment increased productivity. C. L. Best’s “Humpback Thirty” of 1915 is shown here cultivating a walnut orchard. Its low profile was possible by placing the final drive pinions above the center of the idler sprocket. This lowered the whole outfit at least a foot. It can be readily observed that this machine had no trouble at all in working close to the trees.
