Tractor Info

1920-1921

Parrett Motors Corporation was a totally separate firm from Parrett Tractor Company, although it was organized by the brothers Parrett along with some other individuals. The purpose of the company was to build and market the Parrett Motor Cultivator — the big rage of
machinery designers in those years. Apparently, this venture was of short duration, since the 6-12 Motor Cultivator was only listed in the directories for 1920 and 1921. Like almost every motor cultivator, this rig possessed a LeRoi four-cylinder engine with a 3’/s inch bore and 4% inch stroke. The uncoordinated movements of hand steering the machine while working the gangs with the feet made this and most other motor cultivators very difficult and tiring to operate.
