Tractor Info

1913

A new tractor emerged in 1913 through the efforts of Mr.Allen Breed. Several years were spent in design and testing. The result was a large 30-horsepower outfit with three forward speeds and one reverse. The auto guide steering was a radical departure from the chain and bolster steering than was in vogue. The inventor organized the company to build and market the mamachineoccupying the plant of the old Cellular Steel Company. Capitalization was $50,000. The venture barely got off the ground, since no advertisements appear after mid-1914.
