Oliver sent a copy of its new 950 tractor to Nebraska in July 1958. This model featured Oliver’s six-cylinder, four-cycle diesel engine. Rated at 1,800 rpm, it had a 302 ci displacement. The bare weight of this tractor was over 10,000 pounds. It featured six forward speeds ranging up to nearly 13 mph. During Test No. 660 the Oliver 950 delivered nearly 50 drawbar horsepower. Production of the 950 began at the South Bend factory but was eventually transferred to Charles City. The 950 was built in the 1958-61 period.
