Tractor Info

1961 - 1963

Oliver offered the Model 500 tractor. This tractor was built expressly for Oliver by David Brown of England. This was the first foreign-built tractor offered by Oliver. Gasoline or diesel engines were offered, both of which used a four-cylinder design and developed about 30 drawbar horsepower. Initially, the Oliver 500 was distributed from the Cleveland, Ohio plant but with its closing, dealer sales were moved to Charles City, Iowa. A three-point hitch, hydraulics, differential lock, and PTO shaft were among the standard equipment package. Options included power steering, the Oliver Power-juster rear wheels, and remote hydraulics.
