1978-1986
Two tractors were available in the “ 4000” series introduced in 1978. Powered by a Cummins 903 CID turbocharged V-8 diesel engine, the MF 4880 delivered 320 engine horsepower. Both “ new generation” models offered a choice of a twelve-speed manual transmission or an eighteen-speed unit with three-speed, shift-on-the-go capability in six gear ranges.
