The MF 285 is one of a series of medium-sized tractors. Featuring a four-cylinder Perkins direct injection diesel engine, the MF 285 has a 318 CID. A 12-inch single disc clutch is standard equipment, as is the manual transmission with eight forward and two reverse speeds. An optional twelve-speed Multi-Power transmission provides shift-on-the-go convenience. Standard clearance or low-profile models are available.
