The 2544 Hydro was the same as the gear drive International 2544 except for its 2-range hydrostatic transmission and increased engine speed of 2400 rpm. This increased the engine power and compensated for losses in the hydrostatic pump and unit drive. It was available in both gasoline and diesel models.
