Tractor Info

1918-1922

The 11-22 Sawyer-Massey offered in 1918 was advertised as a “gas-oil” tractor, capable of burning low-grade fuels. Sawyer-Massey pointed out six important features of their 1918 line — 1st, multi-cylinder power; 2nd, Power applied to both drive wheels; 3rd, Automobile type steering; 4th, Four wheels; 5th, Positive mechanical cooling; and 6th, Air cleaning equipment. Another important feature was that the Sawyer-Massey tractors carried 75% of their actual weight on the rear wheels. This boosted the traction to a great degree.
