Model Information
1921-1927
Weighing six tons, the 22-44 appeared in 1921. It replaced
the earlier 20-40 model. The 22-44 had a four-cylinder 6 x 7
inch engine, slightly larger than its predecessor. It used a
valve-in-head engine and was of the same general design
as the 35-70. Two clutches were used. An expanding shoe
clutch in the belt pulley was used for belt work, and a contracting
shoe clutch in the flywheel was used for traction
work. The 22-44 was built until 1927.
