A Zetor two-cylinder engine rated at 2,000 rpm was featured in the 2011 Diesel. Its 95.3 CID resulted from a 3.74 x 4.33-inch bore and stroke. At rated engine speed, a two-hour run at 21.2 maximum PTO horsepower indicated a fuel economy of 14.36 horsepower hours per gallon. The design also included 10-24 rear and 5.50-16 inch front tires, plus ten forward speeds ranging from 0.63 to 13.4 mph. The bare weight of 3,475 pounds was enhanced with front and rear ballast for a total test weight of 4,775 pounds. Using the high range of second gear, the two-hour economy run at 18.42 maximum available drawbar horsepower produced an economy of 12.34 horsepower hours per gallon. Also evidenced was a pull of 2,035 pounds at 3.39 mph with 7.6% slippage. In the ten-hour run at 75% pull, the economy came in at 12.12 horsepower hours per gallon against an output of 15.03 horsepower. The ten-hour run saw a pull of 1,568 pounds at 3.6 mph with 5.54% slippage. No repairs or adjustments were reported during 45 hours of operating time.
