Model Information
1923
Seeing that the end was in sight for the gigantic tractors of an earlier day, Nichols & Shepard Company moved toward a smaller 20-42 model in 1923. Previously known as the 18-36, it was of the same basic design as the larger models, but many of the frills were pared away. The 20-42 used a two-cylinder engine with 8 inch bore and 10 inch stroke. Two forward speeds were available. It was also available in 25-50 and 35-70 models, all of which were identical in appearance.
