Model Information
1964 - 1969
Oliver 1850 tractors could be equipped with a front-wheel-drive system. In 1969 an 1850 Diesel, thus equipped, sold for about $11,650. Ordinarily, this was a mechanical drive, but Oliver could also supply the 1850 four-wheel drive as a hydraulically operated unit, with one example being shown here. A special front-mounted hydraulic pump was used. This option permitted simple on-the-go shifting of the front-wheel assist into gear or out of gear as desired.
