Model Information
1922
The Minneapolis 17-30 hit the market in 1922, and was the
first Minneapolis tractor with a unit frame. The crossmounted
engine permitted a simple drive train, consisting
of plain spur gears. These terminated in internal tooth
spur gears in the rear wheels. Removable cylinder sleeves
were featured in the four-cylinder 4 3/4 x 7 inch engine. In
1926, the 17-30 Type B tractor appeared. It used an engine
with a 4 7/8 inch bore, and had a slightly longer wheelbase.
Otherwise, the “A ” and “B” models were basically the
same. Both were available until the Minneapolis Moline
merger.
