The 1600 was a row crop tractor manufactured in Charles City, Iowa. It was the same as the Oliver 1600 Series A. It had three engine types available, a Waukesha-Oliver 4.3L six-cylinder diesel, a Waukesha-Oliver 3.8L six-cylinder gasoline, or a Waukesha-Oliver 3.8L six-cylinder LP gas. All models were 4×2 2WD with manual steering, optional power assist steering, differential mechanical dry disc brakes, six-speed gear transmission, or twelve-speed partial power shift transmission, and an open operator station. Its variants included a row crop model with a tricycle front, a wheatland model with a standard front axle, and a high clearance model with extended ground clearance.
