Built between 1965 and 1969, the Oliver 1550 delivered 53 Certified PTO Horsepower using gasoline or diesel engines, and 51 horsepower on LP-gas. All three models carried a six-cylinder, 232 ci engine with a 3 5/8 x 3 3/4 inch bore and stroke. The Rated speed was 2,200 rpm. The gasoline model used an 8 to 1 compression ratio, and this was raised to 8.75 for the LP-gas model. Diesel engines were designed with a 16.5 to 1 compression ratio.
