Tractor Info

1971 - 1975

In 1971 White Farm Equipment introduced the Oliver 1265 tractor. During the 1973- 75 period this same model was built as the White 1270, but from 1971 to 1973 it was sold in Canada as the White 1265. White Farm Equipment also marketed this same tractor as the Minneapolis-Moline G-350 tractor in 1971. The 1265 was a diesel-powered utility tractor, but it could also be purchased with the 4WD option. White 1270 and Oliver 1265 differed primarily in the use of a different radiator grille. Otherwise, these two tractors were virtually the same. This tractor was built by Fiat and used a three-cylinder, direct-injected engine with a 3.94 x 4.33-inch bore and stroke. This gave a displacement of 158.1 ci. In a standard two-wheel-drive configuration the 1265 diesel is listed at about $6,650. However, the four-wheel-drive version sold for almost $9,800. Numerous features were built into the Oliver 1265, including a differential lock, power-adjusted rear wheels, a three-point hitch, and a transmission with six forward and two reverse speeds.
