In the late 1970’s, the Cameco line consisted of six different tractor models from 100 to 210 flywheel horsepower. All us engines built by Caterpillar, and all Cameco models were designed for the specialize farm equipment identified with the sugar cane industry.

In the early 1960s, a small company was formed to design and manufacture modern field machinery for the sugar cane industry. Within twelve years, Cameco had become a multi-national company that manufactures and distributed a full line of specialized sugar cane machinery. John Deere purchased 49% of the company in 1997, and then the rest in 1998. In 2006, the Camco name was finally retired.
