Parrett Tractor Co.

During its years of production, the Parrett was built in three different sizes, the 10-20 Model E, 12-25 Model H, and the 15-30 Model K. At one time Parrett had one of the largest exclusive tractor factories in the world.

history

In 1913, Dent and Henry Parrett, and Henry Pollard organized and incorporated the Parrett Tractor Company in Ottoway, Illinois. A 1914 magazine carried the following notice, “Twenty-five tractors are under construction at Independent Harvester Company, Plano, Illinois for Parrett at Ottowa Illinois”. The success of these pilot models seems to have been assured because in April 1915, Parrett Tractor Company moved to Chicago and set up shop. Massey-Harris Company arranged to build and sell the Parrett in Canada for 1918, but this venture was unsuccessful for Massey-Harris.
