Fox River Tractor Company was incorporated at Appleton, Wisconsin in 1919 by Frank and Oscar Saiberlich. Their objective was to build and sell the 20-40 Fox tractor. About the time the tractor was ready for market, economic conditions tightened up in the tractor industry. Fox then directed its efforts toward ensilage harvesters and became a leader in the field, a position the firm maintained until the company merged with Brady around 1972 to become Fox-Brady. In 1980, they merged with Koehring and became part of Hiniker Corporation in the early 1990s.
