Common Sense Gas Tractor Co.
Radical departures from the old accepted designs sometimes yielded machines of exceptional quality. H.W. Adams, the designer pf the Common Sense tractor. This experience, along with several years of experiments led to the Common Sense tractor. By 1917, the company was conducting a tractor school with Adams teaching the classes. Tractor schools served an important purpose; that educating farmers in the operation and use of the company’s own machines.

The Common Sense firm was incorporated on February 25, 1915, with a capitalization of $200,000. By late 1919, Farm Power Sales Company became the successor to Common Sense Tractor Company. Although the new firm was in the directory listings for 1920, their tractor activity ended about this time.
