55th Annual Page County Heritage Festival

The Page County Heritage Festival is one of the oldest festivals in Virginia!

Held every year on Columbus Day Weekend in the peak of fall foliage in the Shenandoah Valley, the Page County Heritage Festival is a family-oriented weekend with fun for the whole family!  The Heritage Festival boasts over a hundred crafters with all-day demonstrations of knitting, crochet, apple-butter boiling, oil painting, basket making, wheel-thrown pottery, blacksmiths, and more!

And what Fall Festival would be complete without good home-cooking provided by local civic organizations?  While at the Page County Heritage Festival, you will be surrounded by the smells of BBQ chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, brown beans and cornbread, country ham, chicken & dumplings, funnel cakes and a host of other treats!

The Heritage Festival also hosts a variety of live entertainment — all of which is indoors with plenty of seating available!  Spencer Hatcher, Virginia Rain Bluegrass Band, Isaac Stroupe, and Lee Blanton Band will all be there.  And let’s not forget about the kids!  Children can enjoy face-painting, a pedal tractor pull, maze, petting zoo, barrel train ride, and pony rides and much more!

For tractor and engine enthusiasts, the Page County Heritage Festival’s Steam & Gas Engine Show will be a one-of-a-kind treat for you!  Watch log sawing, feed grinding, wheat thrashing, hay bailing, and corn husking all powered by steam and antique tractors.  Also, enjoy the numerous small antique engines, antique automobiles, and tractors on display — all in running condition.

On Sunday, there will be an Antique Tractor Pull at 10 AM.  ~Pull What You Bring ~ Bring What You Pull~

The Page County Heritage Festival is held rain or shine!  There are LOTS of free parking and bus groups are always welcome (advanced notice is appreciated).  There are many cabins and bed and breakfasts in the area.  Book early — Columbus Day Weekend is a very busy time in the Shenandoah Valley!
