Around 1955 the case 400 series tractors replaced the D series tractors. The entire series of tractors in the series were reffered to as the Case 400, the actual Case 400 was the standard-tread diesel version. This tractor ran off of an Case Vertical 4 cylinder diesel engine and produced 45 hp on the drawbar.
