41st Annual Teton Antique Steam & Gas Threshing Show

Gates are open from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the club grounds, two blocks south of the Choteau City Park.

The Teton Antique Steam and Gas Threshing Association hosts the three-day threshing bee, commemorating the rural history of the steam engine that changed the way work was done across America and heralded the spread of industrialism.

The TASGA show will feature demonstrations using a shingle mill, lumber planer, hand-fed hay baler and feed grinder. Daily grain threshing demonstrations will be held at 1 p.m. and the parade of tractors at 3 p.m. Pottery and quilter demonstrations, live music and face painting are also planned.

Attractions at the grounds include an old-time schoolhouse, a printing operation featuring equipment from years gone by which they are working on to be operational and a rural church. Plans in the works include adding a general store and gazebo.

In addition, bee-goers will be treated to exhibits in the clubhouse, an old railroad depot and musical performers. There is entertainment for children and concessions. There will also be some vendors on the grounds during the bee, selling antiques and collectibles, tools, books and more.
