Model Information
1911
Automobile-type steering was a prominent feature of the Skibo tractor. A spur gear transmission provided two forward speeds of 2 1/2 and 3 MPH and one reverse. Weighing 10,000 pounds, the Skibo used a horizontally opposed engine with a 7 1/2 inch bore and stroke. A positive force-feed oiler, along with a splash system lubricated the motor. Apparently, the Skibo was built under license from the Universal Tractor Company, Stillwater, Minnesota. Albert O. Espe was the original designer.
