Model Information
1912-1917
In 1912, John I. Hoke at Washington, Indiana announced a new tractor of “Universal” design. Hoke later received U. S. Patent No. 1,073,490 covering this machine. The new tractor showed promise, and in 1913 a company was formed at South Bend to build and market the outfit. Only one size was built, with minor alterations in design and horsepower. The 1917 model was rated as a 12-24, using a four-cylinder Waukesha motor of 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inch bore and stroke. The tractor directories do not list Hoke Tractor Company after 1917.
