Model Information
1924-1928
The king of the lighweight models was the Type S, 30-60 built from 1924 to 1928. Its heavy-duty slow speed engine operated at 470 RPM. The two cylinders had a 9 inch bore and 11 inch stroke. Rumely went to a solid disc flywheel on the first lightweight series. Unfortunately, the solid flywheel acted like a sounding board for all kinds of engine noise — both normal and abnormal. Reverting to the old spoked flywheel eliminated the problem. Rumely branch houses were prepared to supply the tractor with either type of flywheel, and today’s antique tractor collectors can find both styles.
