Model Information
1929
Production of the Y began in 1929 and all units were produced in that year, of the 245 produced there are still 90 tractors left. This tractor had the ability to pull five to six 14 inch plows and run a 36 x 60 Rumely thresher. Rumely’s old “ R” , 25-45 model was replaced in 1928 with the “ Y” , 30-50 — again the new rating resulted from its 70 RPM faster speed than the Model R. In Nebraska Test No. 145 the 30-50 demonstrated 47.18 drawbar and 63.32 brake horsepower. All models in this series used an American Bosch DU4/2 Ed. 26 magneto. Total weight as tested was 13,205 pounds, and maximum drawbar pull was
6,965 pounds.
